Ron Lane, the director of the San Diego County Office of Emergency Services, recently spoke with KOGO reporter Phil Farrar about regional preparedness and how residents can prepare as part of National Preparedness Month.
In the interview Lane discusses how during the 2007 Firestorm, some families were only given 15 minutes to evacuate. Lane recommends that all families practice evacuating their homes including rounding up their pets and gathering important documents in 15 minutes or less.
